Weekend in Review

Duke went 1-1 over the weekend. The Blue Devils had a tough game against No. 2 North Carolina, but bounced back on Sunday to defeat New Hampshire 7-2.

Duke splits weekend games

The Blue Devils won easily on Saturday with a 7-0 victory over Longwood. Duke had trouble putting away on Old Dominion on Sunday, which ultimately cost them the match as the Blue Devils lost 3-2, in overtime. Duke travels to Chapel Hill to take on the Tar Heels on Sept. 26.

Players Visit Local School

Lauren Miller, Susan Ferger and Samantha Nelson took some time to visit a Durham school to help promote youth field hockey.

Duke falls to Wake Forest, 3-2

Duke came back strong in the second half, but lost to Wake Forest today, 3-2. Amie Survilla had 2 goals and nearly a third that was stopped by a great save from the Wake Forest goalie. Duke is back in action against Longwood on Sept. 19.

Duke vs. Wake Forest

Duke kicks off their ACC schedule against third-ranked Wake Forest tomorrow at 1 p.m. It will be the toughest test so far for the Blue Devils, but they have had great success at home so far, beating two ranked opponents already.

Field Hockey In Philly

Duke hits the road for the first time this season to square off against Drexel tomorrow at 1.pm. and against St. Joe's on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games will be held at Buckley Field on the Drexel campus. The Blue Devils will look to move to 4-0 for the first time since 2006.

Senior tri-captain Lauren Miller was named ACC POW!


Lauren had three goals over the weekend and an assist to help the Blue Devils beat No. 13 Louisville and No. 8 Michigan State to win the Champions Challenege.
